Chief Executive Officer Dr. Gershu Paul is CEO of Pun Hlaing Siloam Hospitals. He is a Sri Lankan by birth and a New Zealand Citizen with 30 years of international health experience. His expertise is in health services planning, strategy development, clinical operations, project management and building health delivery systems.
He received his Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Bangalore, India in 1986, and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Otago, New Zealand in 1997. In addition, Dr. Paul graduated in 2006 as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian Medical College of Administrators (FRACMA), Melbourne, Australia.
In 2006, he worked briefly as Director Medical Services in Hunter New England Area Health Service, New South Wales and then joined Siloam as Group Chief Executive Officer. Dr Paul is driving social transformation in Myanmar through the Vision – Quality, Reach, Scale and Godly Compassion – of PHSH, leading governance, strategic planning and the regional leadership agenda since 2014.
